I’m Susana Jiménez-Mueller, a Cuban-American author. I write and tell family stories about resilience in Cuba and the countries of our exile; The United States, and Venezuela.
For me, the man depicted in the artwork created by Dixie Miguez, a Cuban American artist, symbolizes Cuba – its men and women. His head tilted, listening to our stories. His open hand, palms up asking, trying to understand how we can heal wounds and reunite families.
I also collaborate with other LatinX writers to bring you stories of love, loss, assimilation, dreams fulfilled and success.
Here and there you might find my musings or poems.
